Lunchtime has been very busy lately with preparations for winter (figuring out gloves, getting weather striping, blah blah blah), but I still have my sketchbook with me and hopefully when things settle down I can continue to draw.

As with other parts of my life, I have decided to focus on keeping what I need and what I am strong at. For example, I have been working on the vilppu exercises for months, and I think they have really improved my drawing (the piece above is drawn with no reference), but truly, in my heart, drawing people is just not my thing.

This blog is still considered dead, but I'll post whenever I can :)

Dead Blog?

Opportunity Cost: What you can get by giving up something.

I've spent loads of time on drawing, and it pains me to say that if there are updates, they will be far and few between. Recently my music studies have kicked up a notch, and I've decided to not spread out my time on so many subjects and focus on music. Other things I've stopped include the saxophone and viola studies.

That said, I've not truly stopped drawing, I've had sketches from last week drawn over lunch - wolf sketches but I don't see the point in posting them. Seems like due to focusing more on figure drawing, I've regressed in my animal drawing side of things. Bwa.
