Lunchtime form studies with a block of modelling clay; experimenting with blending acrylic at home, and out at the british museum for a bit more form studies.

Spent time at work using a lump of clay to figure out form, and spent some time learning how to blend acrylics. I bought acrylic paper and acrylic retarder today! Woo!

I think one area I suck at is creating form. I'm now just trying to create form using simple objects (in this case, a blob of modelling clay), with the hopes of being able to represent the more complicated objects better.

Life drawing lesson today.... somehow the last few weeks I feel I'm losing my touch. Maybe I'm overworking myself. In any case, the long draw of 50 mins today I messed up the first 20 doing all sorts of measuring and just not feeling it. Last half hour came up, I said screw it, rubbed it all out, and redrew from scratch using gesture followed by spherical forms. Quick shading. No time for the head or fixing the extremities :(
